TUGBOAT, Inc. Receives National Certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise

Napa, Calif. – January 1, 2008 – Tugboat, Inc., a promotional marketing company specializing in logo’d merchandise, has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Astra Women’s Business Alliance, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). This follows Tugboat’s prior certification as a Minority Business Enterprise by the Northern California Supplier Development Council (NCSDC), an affiliate of NMSDC, Inc. Tugboat also maintains it’s status as a certified Small Business with the State of California.

The national standards of certification for both Women and Minority Owned Businesses are a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification processes are designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a minority woman or women.

By including women and minority-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations, and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
